Class Cancellation Refund Information

Class Cancellation Information

If Community Education cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified and the class fee will be refunded.

Refund Policy

Call or email the Community Education office to request cancellation; you cannot cancel out of a class online. Cancellations must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the activity (or by the registration deadline if one is listed) in order to receive a refund. Some activities, supplies, or tickets are not refundable. All refunds are subject to a $5.00 processing fee.  No refunds for trips or tours are given after the registration and payment deadline.

Late Fees and Outstanding Balances

If you have an outstanding balance with any Community Education programs (Kids Play, Bright Beginnings, etc.) your family will not be able to register and participate for any future Community Education programs until the balance is paid in full.

Late Pickup Policy

Community Education, along with its vendors and instructors, expects students to be picked up promptly at the end of class. Instructors are not able to stay and supervise students after class ends. If a child is not picked up on time, the following late pick-up fees may apply:

  • 5-10 minutes late: $20
  • 11-20 minutes late: $30
  • Beyond 20 minutes late: $40

If a child has not been picked up within 30 minutes after class ends and we are unable to reach a parent or emergency contact, local authorities may be contacted to assume responsibility for the child. Repeated late pickups may result in removal from the program without a refund, and the child may no longer be eligible to participate in future Community Education programs.

Waiting Lists

If you or your child are placed on a waiting list, you will remain on the list unless you are contacted by Community Education. We will reach out if a spot becomes available and offer it to you at that time. If you do not hear from us, that means no spots have opened up, and you have not been enrolled in the class.
