STMA District 885 recognizes the importance of early education. It is our mission to create a safe, play-based environment of developmentally appropriate learning experiences for all students. 

We believe that parental partnerships are essential for kindergarten readiness and in fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Early Childhood Screening

Developmental check before Kindergarten includes: vision and hearing, weight and height, immunization review, large and small muscle development, cognitive thinking, language and communication skills and social and emotional development.

Early Intervention

Concerns about a child's development? Early Intervention (EI) is an STMA program for families with children ages birth to three years old. Early Intervention (0-3) provides support and instruction for young children who have been identified with a developmental delay, disability or are at risk for developing delays.
